Edward Diogu
Managing Partner, Filion Capital
Edward Diogu is the Founder and Managing Partner of Filion Capital, where he leads the firm’s investment strategy, portfolio transformation initiatives, and overall vision to build enduring platforms across global growth markets. With over two decades of operating and investment experience, Edward brings a rare combination of entrepreneurial grit, financial acumen, and institutional discipline to every transaction.
Under his leadership, Filion Capital has emerged as a conviction-driven private equity firm focused on reshaping industries through cultural alignment, operational intensity, and long-horizon capital deployment. Edward’s approach goes beyond financial engineering—he specializes in unlocking hidden value by aligning strategy, systems, and people, particularly in undercapitalized sectors and geographies.
Prior to founding Filion, Edward built a distinguished track record advising and scaling start-ups, founder-led businesses, and growth-stage ventures. His multi-functional expertise spans operations, sales, finance, and organizational design—making him a true value creator, not just a capital allocator. He has led enterprise turnarounds, spearheaded new market entries, and architected scalable infrastructures across several of Filion’s core verticals.
A passionate operator at heart, Edward remains deeply involved in portfolio company growth and leadership development. Internally, he advises Filion’s deal teams on strategy, diligence, and transformation roadmaps, while fostering a high-performance culture rooted in clarity, resilience, and stewardship.
Edward holds an MBA with a concentration in Finance and a distinction in Strategic Management, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from The University of Texas at Austin. A Dallas native with a global mindset, he is driven by a singular purpose: to mobilize capital, talent, and technology toward ventures that transcend profit and shape the future.
