Investment Analyst Internship
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Investment Analyst to join our growing team. This is an entry-level role for candidates passionate about private equity, financial markets, and global deal-making. The Analyst will support the origination, diligence, and execution of investment opportunities across multiple sectors, with exposure to both U.S. and international markets.
The role provides direct mentorship from senior leadership and offers a fast-track learning environment for those looking to build a career in private equity.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct financial modeling, valuation, and returns analysis for potential investments.
- Perform market research, industry mapping, and competitor benchmarking to identify attractive sectors and deal flow.
- Support deal origination through pipeline tracking, preliminary diligence, and outreach coordination.
- Assist in preparing investment memoranda, presentations, and committee materials.
- Maintain and update databases of deals, contacts, and industry intelligence.
- Participate in management calls, site visits, and portfolio monitoring as required.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field (Master’s a plus).
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in investment banking, consulting, asset management, or private equity preferred; exceptional new graduates will be considered.
- Strong financial modeling and Excel skills; proficiency in PowerPoint required.
- Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Interest in global markets, with bonus points for exposure to Africa, emerging markets, or international business.

Annual Salary
The annual salary for the Investment Analyst position at Filion Capital ranges from $110,000 to $175,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, performance-based bonuses are provided based on individual and firm performance.
