Chief Technology Officer

Position Overview

Filion Capital is seeking a visionary and strategic Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the firm's technology strategy and digital transformation. This executive role is responsible for leveraging technology as a competitive advantage, both internally for the firm's operations and externally across our investment portfolio. The CTO will architect our technology stack, drive data and analytics initiatives, oversee cybersecurity, and provide strategic counsel to portfolio companies on technology-driven value creation.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute the firm's overarching technology strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and investment goals.
Lead the evaluation and implementation of a best-in-class technology stack to enhance investment analysis, deal sourcing, portfolio monitoring, and investor reporting.
Oversee all aspects of cybersecurity, data privacy, and IT infrastructure, ensuring the firm's systems and data are protected against internal and external threats.
Drive the firm's data and analytics initiatives, building integrated data platforms that generate actionable insights for the investment team and senior leadership.
Advise portfolio company leadership on technology strategy, digital transformation, IT infrastructure, and scaling operational systems.
Partner with the investment team during due diligence to assess technology stacks, intellectual property, and cybersecurity postures of potential investments.
Manage the technology budget and vendor relationships, ensuring cost-effective and scalable solutions.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies (e.g., AI, ML, blockchain) and evaluate their potential application within the firm and our portfolio.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
15+ years of progressive technology leadership experience, with a background that combines strategic vision with hands-on execution.
Proven experience as a CTO, Head of Technology, or in a similar senior technology leadership role, ideally within financial services, private equity, or a portfolio company of a PE firm.
Deep expertise in building and securing scalable technology infrastructures, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and enterprise software systems.
Strong understanding of data architecture, business intelligence, and analytics; ability to translate data into strategic insights.
Experience in cybersecurity risk management and implementing robust data protection protocols.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, including the investment committee and portfolio company CEOs.
Strategic, business-minded leader with a proven ability to leverage technology to create tangible value.
Experience with international operations and a global mindset is highly desirable.

Annual Salary

The compensation package for the Chief Technology Officer is highly competitive and includes a significant base salary, a performance-based annual bonus, and eligibility for firm equity and carried interest participation. Total compensation will be commensurate with the seniority and impact of this executive role.
